This Sunday, I’m blessed to be celebrating Easter and my 60th birthday in Delray Beach, Florida.

My husband Mike wanted to do something grand to celebrate this milestone with me. He envisioned a 7-day cruise or jetting off to a Caribbean Island.

I’m so grateful to have a husband eager to whisk me away and make my birthday extra special, but I wanted to celebrate in Florida.

Why the Sunshine State?

Mike and I went to high school together in Hollywood, Florida. My birthday marks the date that we reconnected after high school 25 years ago. He calls it our 25th anniversary, although we’ve known each other for 46 years.

Designing a Life You Love

I feel blessed to be a business entrepreneur. When you build your own business, you have the freedom and flexibility to schedule planned time off. This is so important to Mike and me. We believe it’s important to create memories you cherish, and celebrate milestones, big and small. After all, they only come around once, and you can’t turn back the clock.

That’s why we make it a priority to celebrate important holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. It’s also important to take time every month and every quarter to recharge your batteries and stay focussed, healthy and positive.

And remember: You don’t need to break the bank to celebrate a milestone with loved ones. It’s about devoting quality time, not pricy activities or geographical location.

I’m able to enjoy this planned time off because I worked hard to build a business that allows me to design my own schedule. Mike is a great provider for our family and always makes sure that we’re able to spend quality time together on several vacations a year.

Mike and I couldn’t take this time without the support of our team of masters, experts in their fields who make sure our business runs smoothly while we’re away.

Everyone has the opportunity to create the lifestyle of their dreams. It takes goal-setting, planning, hard work, commitment and accountability, but every one of us can pave a path to the life we dream of.

After decades of hard work in business and as business entrepreneurs, Mike and I are now starting the process of looking for a 2nd home in Florida, one of our own personal goals.
