What Are You Striving For?

If you’re a laser focused entrepreneur busy grinding in your business, then you likely don’t have much time to contemplate the many liberties and freedoms in place that allow you to pursue your entrepreneurial goals. Some entrepreneurs end up taking these gifts for granted.

But Saturday, November 11th, on Veteran’s Day, a time of year when our great nation pauses to reflect and appreciate the freedoms and liberties we are privileged to possess, I reflect on and appreciate my freedom to strive in business. Of equal importance, I pause to pay tribute to those that sacrificed – and continue to sacrifice – to afford us those freedoms.

Veteran’s Day has always held a very special place in my home and my heart. You see, my husband Mike served in the special operations unit of the Air Force for 17 years. My father and many friends also dedicated years of their lives to bravely serving our country. I couldn’t be more proud of them for their selflessness, courage and years of dedicated service. Without brave individuals like Mike and my father, our country would be a very different, darker place. The freedoms they have given us – as people and as business entrepreneurs –  are the beacons of light that allow us to look into the horizon and pursue our dreams with passion and purpose.

The freedom to strive is a precious gift, and the brave men and women of the air force, army, navy and marines who risk their lives to serve and protect us are the benefactors of our freedom. Today, it is so important that we reflect on these gifts and express our deep gratitude to them and their families.

Striving to Thrive in 2018

With the New Year fast approaching, it’s important to ask yourself: Am I taking advantage of my freedom to live, to dream and to EARN?

If the answer isn’t a resounding YES, it’s time to take decisive action. Our veterans were willing to serve, fight and give their lives for our freedom. I believe that we must be willing to use these freedoms to live our best lives. This means making changes within ourselves and to our businesses that will empower us to achieve the RESULTS we seek in 2018 and beyond.

Because of my freedom to pursue my goals as an independent entrepreneur, I have been able to enjoy success in sales for over four decades.
