3 Signs it’s Time to Work with a Business Coach

3 Signs it’s Time to Work with a Business Coach The end of June marks the halfway point of 2017. It may be the beginning of the summer season – a time many of us associate with R&R. But it’s also a critical month for business owners and sales professionals to take a pause and ask themselves:

“Am I where I want to be?”

If the answer is anything less than a resounding “Yes”, it’s important to dedicate focused time to evaluate your business plan and strategies.

As a master business development strategist, I get a lot of phone calls at this time of year from entrepreneurs who aren’t satisfied with their results.

Here are 3 signs it’s time to schedule a conversation with a business coach:

1. You aren’t getting the results you want.

At the beginning of the year, you (hopefully*) created a business plan, set milestones and mapped out the daily actions you need to execute to bring your goals to fruition. But halfway through the year, you just aren’t hitting your targets. You’re having difficulty generating consistent, quality leads and your closing rates are disappointing. You’re attending networking events but aren’t sure how to build those relationships after business cards have been exchanged? Or maybe business has been steady but you aren’t sure how to break through to the next level. Consistently putting forth a committed effort without seeing the fruit of your labor can be stressful, exhausting and disheartening.

If you feel like you’re underperforming or have hit a wall, it’s time to speak with a business development expert. I teach my clients at Celeste Giordano Coaching a proven system for generating high quality leads and closing more sales. Half-way through the y

2. You want to save time and money.

Some entrepreneurs know they need guidance, but avoid hiring a business coach out of concerns about the cost. If you’re already struggling to cover your expenses, it can feel difficult to justify an additional expense. But the truth is that hiring the right business coach will save you money in the long run. Running a business inefficiently and ineffectively is both time-consuming and expensive. An experienced coach will share strategies to help you generate consistent sales and increase PROFITS – the key to any successful business.  They’ll also help you avoid costly mistakes as well as manage your business and its growth with maximum efficiency.

3. You know what you need to do, but you don’t do it.

Some entrepreneurs I work with know what action steps they need to take to achieve results in their business. They just find reasons to push off or avoid these all-important activities. Knowing what to do but struggling to stay focused and actually follow through can result in built-up guilt and disappointment. Questions like “What’s wrong with me?”, “Am I cut out for this?” and “Why can’t I ever follow through?” start to surface.

What these business entrepreneurs need is accountability – someone to hold their feet to the fire and ensure they do what they say they’re going to do. Most people can’t grow a thriving business without someone consistently checking in and holding them accountable. Don’t underestimate the value of accountability. For many, it’s a powerful catalyst for growth and profitability!

I want to address an important issue here. Some people resist working with a business coach because they feel that it’s a sign that they have failed in some way. But working with a business coach isn’t a sign of defeat or ineptitude. Far from it! It’s a sign of fortitude and commitment. If you strive for excellence, it makes sense to seek out mentorship from someone who has achieved excellence in their own business and has other achieve the same.

Some of the most successful entrepreneurs I’ve met over the past 40+ years who now earn six and seven figure incomes worked with a business consultant. They were hungry for knowledge and guidance, and understood that working with a seasoned business pro would accelerate their road to success.

3 Signs it’s Time to Work with a Business Coach

If you have a vision of where you want to be and you’re not there yet, working with an experienced business coach is the most expedient way to get focused on what concrete, practical steps you need to take daily to reach your goals. If you are willing to take immediate ACTION, do the work and maintain an open mind and heart, working with an expert business consultant will translate to results.
