Why Giving Tuesday Fills My Heart with Hope
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with your loved ones.
One of the things I personally am most thankful for is the opportunity to serve my neighbors in need. That is why I love everything that Giving Tuesday is about: sharing information about worthy causes that touch our hearts, and encouraging our friends to support them. What a joy to see my social media feed flooded with news about the good work being done by charities and nonprofit organizations across the country!
In 2019, my friends Sara Poe, Lynn Chapman, and I co-founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of our underserved neighbors through targeted service projects. That organization, Women of Community Impact, is centered on the principles of servant leadership, and we are so proud of what we have done in our community over the past five years.
Women of Community Impact (WCI) serves:
- Homeless Women and Children
- Children in Foster Care
- Victims of Human Trafficking
- Families Battling Cancer
WCI is delighted to be participating in Giving Tuesday and would be truly grateful for your consideration as you identify your giving recipients this year. Our nonprofit is made up of Gwinnett County, Northern Kentucky, and Cincinnati area business professionals who are committed to improving the lives of our neighbors in need of compassionate resources.

Wishing you a meaningful, hope-filled holiday season!
